Every pre-plan is structured around the six NFPA 1620 required elements — property identification, hazards, shutoffs, access points, water supply, and construction details — framed in EMS-coordinated incident terms so medical, fire, and mutual-aid crews see the same picture before entry.
Patient-access and lift constraints
Map door widths, stair turns, stretcher routes, lift capacities, and vehicle pull-up points on the existing CAD or BIM drawing. The crew knows before the stretcher rolls whether the patient path is one-flight, one-turn, or one-block wide.
Utility shutoffs for crew safety
Record gas, water, and electric shutoff locations as separate fields. For EMS, "shut everything down" is as much a medical-team safety move as a fire-operations move — knowing where the gas valve is matters before patient contact in a gas-leak call.
Hazmat markers and chemical inventory
Mark storage rooms with chlorine, formaldehyde, gasoline, propane, or any inventory the medics need to know about before they enter. Markers render directly on the blueprint overlay, so the crew sees "what is in the closet" before they cross the threshold.

- Access points
notes + hazmatMarkers[].location- In EMS terms, access points are stretcher/lift/turn-radius entries. Pulled from notes and per-marker locations today; a dedicated access-points field with door widths and lift capacities is on the roadmap.
- Water supply
plan.hydrants[]- Hydrants drive water supply for fire crews. For EMS, the value is "know the nearest hydrant in case fire arrives after medics". Each hydrant shows with label, position, and distance.
- Construction details
plan.occupancy- A free-text occupancy field flags what the building is — residential vs industrial, retail vs storage. EMS crews read it as "what kind of patients could be inside" before they cross the threshold.
